The Twilight Saga: New Moon director Chris Weitz talked about his soundtrack hopefuls back in July (at Comic Con), and Muse was high on his short list.
When it was announced that Muse would debut their single "The Resistence" at this year's MTV VMAs, a question was raised as to whether that song might be the one being looked at for inclusion on the soundtrack.
Many Muse fans showed a bit of disinterest in the band's inclusion on the album, but Weitz stood strong, speaking to the L.A. Times about the possibility lingering even still.
Since then, what with Death Cab for Cutie's announced participation in the album, the buzz about Muse's involvement with the soundtrack has slowed a bit. That is, until today.
After their brilliant performance at the VMAs, Muse took a few moments to speak to MTV about the possibility of their inclusion on the album. According to Matthew Bellamy, he is having a conversation with Chris Weitz tomorrow about that very thing.
